An Afternoon with an RMT

In one of our recent classes, we had the opportuity to meet with an RMT that has been practicing for a few years now. Her name is Tessa Gentleman, and she was kind enough to meet with us on a friday afternoon to discuss and answer all of our questions. She was sooo helpful. It was great to have a first hand approach on the do's and dont's of getting started and how to maintain a business. She gave insight on how to establish a clientele through social networking and conferences, or just to attend a party and hand out business cards. I thought with my locational area would restrict me to how much money I could make, and she shed some light on rates and travel expenses to better grow my business to the max. I really enjoyed the conversation of rent costs and splits to working with other health care practioners. And little ways to show you care about your clients, like following up and spending extra time with them. I very much enjoyed Tessa's information session, I took 5 pages of notes! She had a lot to offer a group like us that's just starting out, I appreciated her visit. Thanks Tessa, you helped a young RMT get a jump start to the career world!
If anyone can add info on some of the things I mentioned, I'd love to hear from you!
